Polysomnography and video-EEG

The Sleep Unit

Cutting-edge technology

We continuously improve our technology, as we are clear that technology and research means new opportunities for our patients.

The Clinic's Sleep Unit carries out polysomnographies or sleep studies to measure its cycles and stages through the recording of brain waves, eye movements, heart rate, breathing frequency, blood pressure and oxygen saturation in the blood.

These procedures are performed to diagnose episodes of loss of consciousness or abnormal behaviour, pre-surgical evaluation in patients with epilepsy or to assess actual epilepsy control.

The Clinic also has video-EEG equipment, which makes a continuous record of the brain's electrical activity 24 hours a day.
