PET CT

The Clinic has a multimodal equipment that combines PET and CT technology. Thus, the detection of a tumoural lesion is considerably improved. It is the first equipment of these characteristics installed in Spain.

Its most significant advantages are very high resolution and, therefore, a higher diagnostic accuracy than the previous one, as well as a faster procedure.

The new PET can multiply the possibilities of detecting small tumour disease by means of three-dimensional images. It is a non-invasive and painless technique for measuring organ and tissue functions. In addition, there are two PET scanners.

It has been proven that combined PET/CT scans provide more accurate diagnoses than the two scans performed separately.
