The gamma camera

Nuclear Medicine

Cutting-edge technology

We continuously improve our technology, as we are clear that technology and research means new opportunities for our patients.

The gamma camera is an image capture device, commonly used in nuclear medicine as a tool for the study of diseases.

The equipment detects the gamma radiation injected into the patient and generates a two-dimensional image of the organ's activity.

The image made is called a gammagraphy, a diagnostic procedure based on the detection of the capture of a certain radiopharmaceutical in a specific organ or tissue. It provides morphological and functional information.

This technique is applied in the study of a wide variety of systems, such as the osteoarticular, genitourinary, digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine and cerebral systems.
