Award World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2021

The Clínica Universidad de Navarra listed among the 35 best hospitals in the world in the area of Oncology, according to World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2021 ranking published in Newsweek magazine.

The Clínica Universidad de Navarra listed among the 35 best hospitals in the world in the area of Oncology, according to World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2021 ranking published in Newsweek magazine.

Since March, the Clinic forms part of the same ranking, being one of the 50 best
hospitals worldwide. Now it also stand out for the Oncology, Cardiology and
Endocrinology specialties that have been evaluated by the North American magazine.

In addition, the Clínica Universidad de Navarra is ranked 22nd of the best specialized hospitals in the world in Neurology and Digestive Diseases and 41st in Orthopedic and Traumatological Surgery.

In Neurology, the Clinic stands out as one of the best 22 best hospitals, in a list headed by the Mayo Clinic - Rochester, the Hôpital Universitaire Pitié Salpêtrière (Paris) and the National Hospital For Neurology and Neurosurgery - Queen Square (London), and in which only one other Spanish hospital appears among the top 50, the Hospital Universitario La Paz. La Clínica is the first Spanish center to appear on this prestigious list.

The Clinic also appears in the 22nd position in the Digestive ranking, which first place is also for Mayo Clinic - Rochester, followed by The Mount Sinai Hospital and the A. Gemelli University Polyclinic. Once again, the Clinic is the first Spanish center, in a list that also includes centers such as the Ramón y Cajal Hospital, the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital or the Vall University Hospital.

For its part, Orthopedic and Traumatology Surgery appears as 41 in its specialty, being one of the five Spanish departments that appear in the top 50 of a list led by Hospital For Special Surgery (New York), Mayo Clinic - Rochester and Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

Newsweek magazine publishes the World’s Best Hospitals ranking, with the aim of identifying the best health institutions in 21 countries in the world. To do this, he relies on the Statista methodology and the advice of a panel of experts including Professor David Bates (Harvard, USA), Dr. Gary Kaplan (Virginia Mason, USA), Dr. Eyal Zimlichman (Sheba Medical Center, Israel), Prof. Christoph A. Meier MD (University Hospital Basel, Switzerland), among others.
