The PET GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Laboratory of the Clinic allows access to new compounds that enable the study of more complex diseases.
This laboratory has converted the Clínica Universidad de Navarra into the only Spanish hospital capable of synthesizing twelve radiopharmaceuticals for the diagnosis of cancer and other diseases such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's.
It makes possible more precise treatments for the personalized dosage of each patient. It prepares the necessary radiopharmaceuticals to carry out the studies that are requested of us.
Its full availability allows us to manufacture isotopes with a very short half-life (a few minutes) and to carry out studies that would otherwise be impossible.
Radiopharmacy includes the scientific knowledge and professional criteria to improve and promote health with the safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals.
