AREA

Liver and Pancreatic Tumours

"Any centre that seeks to be at the vanguard of hepatocarcinoma treatment must be equipped with radioembolisation, although because of its sophistication it is reasonable that there should be reference centres for this treatment".

DR. BRUNO SANGRO
DIRECTOR. HEPATOLOGY UNIT

The Clinic is one of the first centres in Spain to launch the Liver and Pancreas Tumours Area, which is a multidisciplinary area that is exclusively dedicated to the comprehensive treatment of tumours of the liver, pancreas and bile duct, as well as liver transplants from living donors.

Patient care will be coordinated by a single reference person who is an expert in these pathologies, who will be also responsible for informing and coordinating consultations, tests, treatments, surgeries, etc., in a period of less than 24 hours.

The Clinic is one of the few hospital centres in Spain that treats liver tumours by means of radioembolisation with Ytrio90 microspheres. This technique increases by 30% the possibilities of performing surgery on liver tumours in order to remove the tumour as totally as possible.

In addition, we have the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technological advances at our disposal. Moreover, we carry out significant research work.
