- Local Lead as the first Spanish hospital in the international multicenter VCI (Video Classification of Intubation) study for the worldwide evaluation of a new videolaryngoscopy-based intubation scale.
- Promoter and Principal Investigator of the multicenter POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound) study for airway management (Clínica Universidad de Navarra; Hospital Universitario Basurto–Bilbao; Hospital Universitario Infanta Leonor, Madrid).
- Coordinator of the working group for the development of ultrasound in mechanical ventilation and airway management of the Spanish Society of Anesthesiology and Critical Care (SEDAR).
- Member of the working group for the National Guidelines on Difficult Airway Management.
- Member of the FIDIVA group (International Training in Teaching and Research in Airway Management) and collaborator with the Task Force of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).
