Professional career
Medical degree from the University of Cantabria (1985) and PhD from the University of Navarra (1992). Specialist in Hematology and Hemotherapy at Clínica Universidad de Navarra. He completed a training stay at the Hematopoietic Transplant Unit at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
He is the head of the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Unit at Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
