Medical Psychology

"The treatment of mental disorders brings together the combination of a psychopharmacological, psychotherapeutic and psychosocial approach, where necessary".

DR. CARMEN LASPRA SOLÍS
PSYCHOLOGIST. MEDICAL PSYCHOLOGY UNIT

The Clinical Psychology Unit develops an important assistance task for patients coming from the Department of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology as well as from other Departments of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.

This work takes the form of evaluation, diagnosis and psychotherapeutic intervention, if deemed appropriate, as well as monitoring the evolution of pathologies.

We have developed specific protocols for the evaluation and treatment of different pathologies, which are carried out in a systematic way.

In addition to investigating aspects related to the evaluation and clinical diagnosis of patients, the area of Clinical Psychology carries out psychotherapeutic intervention work, both at individual, family or group level, in different population groups (children, adolescents and adults).

Finally, it participates in research and teaching tasks at undergraduate level, in the Faculties of Medicine and Education and Psychology, and at postgraduate level in the Master's Degree in Marriage and Family, in the Master's Degree in Educational and Psychological Intervention and in the European Master's Degree in Nutrition and Metabolism.
