You do not need a referral from your regular doctor for a Second Opinion Consult.

The Second Opinion Consult is carried out by a multidisciplinary team and includes the preparation of a medical report, with the objectives of providing the best diagnosis, seeking the best treatment and, if necessary, assessing whether there is the possibility of taking part in any of the Clinic's active clinical trials.

The cost of the Second Opinion includes a face-to-face consultation with your specialist*.

*The consultation will be free of charge up to 3 months after the request for the second opinion.

Some insurances do cover the Second Opinion Consult.

  • The patients themselves if they are over 16 years of age.
  • The legal guardian, in the case of minors under 16 years of age, or the patient's legal representative in the case of the patient being legally incapacitated.

The Second Opinion Consultation is priced at €580.

Currently and due to the launching of the new program, the price is 465€ for the departments of Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Breast Pathology, Neurosurgery and Thoracic Surgery and 415€ for the rest of the departments.

This amount is paid when requesting the service, and includes the medical assessment and a call from the specialist for clarification.

In order to get a Second Opinion at the Clinic you will need to send us:

  • Medical evolutionary report issued by your oncologist, in PDF format, detailing personal, medical-surgical, family history, toxic habits, current medication of the disease and where the oncological process is summarized (diagnosis/clinical judgment, evolution of the disease and the treatments proposed and/or received).
  • The latest images of tests performed (CT, MRI, PET). The images must be in DICOM format.
  • Image of the DNI, or DNI/family book in case the patient is a minor.

The documentation is sent securely through the online application, once the payment has been made.

If needed, or if the physician requires it, documentation can be sent later at the time of the application through the Patient Area.

The clinical documentation you send (medical reports, analyses, imaging tests, etc.) must be in Spanish or English to facilitate its review by the specialist.

If you have any problem with the application, the payment or the uploading of the documentation to the platform, you can contact the Clinic's Call Center by calling +34 948 255 400 (8:00-22:00h).

The Call Center will handle your problem and will let you know when it is solved.

In the event that the Clinic's specialist is unable to make an assessment with the documentation provided, we will request the necessary data to be able to do so.

In any case, if the specialist is unable to make a definitive assessment, the applicant will be refunded the full amount of the application.

The document generated by the Clinic is exclusively for information purposes and is not valid as a medical report.

It is necessary for the specialist to see the patient in person in order to generate a valid medical report.

The price of the Second Opinion includes, if the patient requests it, a face-to-face consultation with the specialist*.

All documentation received by the Clinic is digitised and stored in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

If the applicant, after receiving the Second Opinion document, wishes to make an appointment with one of the Clinic's specialists, a date will be offered as soon as possible, with the aim of arranging it within a maximum period of one week, although this is always subject to the conditions and needs of the patient.

We will also help you to arrange your travel and accommodation if needed.

In any case, the cost of the Second Opinion Consultation will be deducted from the first invoice issued in the patient's name.

Yes, the Clinic has a Budgeting and Financing office, which will provide you with an economic valuation through the specialist who has assessed your case.

Yes, it is available for all of the Clinic's specialties.

The Patient's Area is a section of the Clinic's website, through which patients can access their medical records.
