Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Navarra in June 1998.
European PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Navarra in February 2004.
Predoctoral research stay with Dr. Ronald Oude Elferink at the Amsterdam Medical Center (AMC) from September 2001 to April 2003.

AREAS OF INTEREST
- Participation in clinical trials on therapies for retinal diseases, mainly Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Diabetic Retinopathy (DR), and venous occlusion.
- Search for new diagnostic strategies based on imaging, genetics, and personalized treatments through experimental in vitro and in vivo models.
- Preclinical and clinical research on retinal diseases (AMD, diabetic retinopathy, Pathologic Myopia…).
- Research in primary biliary cirrhosis.
