Primary focus on the evaluation and treatment of venous disease.
Professional career
MD, Faculty of Medicine, Complutense University of Madrid (1991). Specialist training in General and Digestive Surgery (Hospital Universitario y Docente de Guadalajara, 1992-1996). Specialist training in Angiology and Vascular Surgery, Hospital Universitario La Paz, Madrid (2003-2007).
Worked as a Specialist in Angiology and Vascular Surgery at Hospital Universitario La Paz, Madrid, and at Hospital Central de la Defensa Gómez-Ulla, collaborating with the hospital’s Multidisciplinary Lymphatic Disease Unit. Previously worked as a Specialist in General and Digestive Surgery at Hospital Universitario de Guadalajara. Served as a Military Physician in the Headquarters Battalion of the Paratrooper Brigade in Alcalá de Henares.
Accreditation to direct X-ray facilities for medical diagnostic purposes.
Basic personal certification in the Noninvasive Vascular Diagnostic Chapter.
Since 2008, member of the Vascular Surgery Service and the Phlebology Area at Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Madrid campus.
RESEARCH AREAS
- Treatment of lower-limb venous disease using ultrasound-guided endoluminal chemical ablation with low-nitrogen polidocanol microfoam, using Clínica Universidad de Navarra’s specific foam and application technique.

- Chronic venous insufficiency, ulcers, and vascular malformations.
