Trial of vestibular neurostimulator system in patients with vestibular dysfunction.
THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS STUDY IS TO REDUCE THE IMBALANCE PRODUCED BY THE MALFUNCTION OF THE OTOLITHIC ORGAN BY MEANS OF AN IMPLANTABLE DEVICE THAT ELECTRICALLY STIMULATES THE VESTIBULAR NERVE. THE DEVICE/IMPLANT TO BE USED ALLOWS BOTH VESTIBULAR STIMULATION (MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT) AND STIMULATION OF THE COCHLEA (PROVEN APPLICATION), THUS IMPROVING BALANCE AND HEARING.
