Clinical trial to evaluate the effect of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) with mitomycin C combined with surgery versus surgery alone in locally advanced colorectal carcinoma (FOXHIPECT4).
THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS TO DETERMINE WHETHER PROACTIVE NEOADJUVANT SYSTEMIC TREATMENT (FOLFOX), WITH OR WITHOUT HIPEC WITH MITOMYCIN C, FOLLOWED BY POSTOPERATIVE ADJUVANT SYSTEMIC TREATMENT, INCREASES 36-MONTH DISEASE-FREE SURVIVAL IN PATIENTS WITH LOCALLY ADVANCED COLON CANCER COMPARED WITH STANDARD TREATMENT.
