Professional career

Medical degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid in 1984. Specialist in Dermatology at Ramón y Cajal Hospital, Madrid (1986-1989). PhD in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Madrid (1990).

Clinical Research Fellow in Immunodermatology in the Department of Dermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, USA, 1994-1995

RESEARCH AREAS

Member of the Editorial Committee (Advisory Board) of the journal PIEL and of the Editorial Board of the journal Actas Dermo-Sifiliográficas.

He has carried out 6 research projects as Principal Investigator, 2 research projects as a collaborator, and 6 research protocols.

In teaching

Full Professor at the School of Medicine of the University of Navarra since September 1, 2014.

Accredited as a Full Professor by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport on July 18, 2013.

Vice Dean of the School of Medicine of the University of Navarra in 2003.

He has supervised 6 doctoral dissertations.

In research

He has delivered more than 250 lectures and conference presentations at national congresses and more than 50 at international congresses. 

He is editor of 5 books and author of 33 book chapters. 

He has published 80 articles in international journals and more than 75 in national journals.
