Medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Navarra, 1995 (1989–1995). 

Specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Clínica Universidad de Navarra, 2000. 

Clinical Collaborator in the Gastroenterology Service at Clínica Universidad de Navarra, with exclusive dedication, since 2000. 

Doctoral degree from the University of Navarra, 2003.

Master’s in Neurogastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Motility, 2022–2023

RESEARCH AREAS

  • She has collaborated in several research projects in both the clinical and endoscopic areas of her specialty.

AREAS OF INTEREST

  • Diagnosis and treatment of GERD (GERD Unit).
  • Diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of Barrett’s esophagus (GERD Unit).
  • Functional gastrointestinal disorders (IBS, functional dyspepsia, functional heartburn, hypersensitive esophagus, constipation).
  • Digestive diseases related to intolerances or food allergies (celiac disease, lactose intolerance, fructose-sorbitol intolerance, eosinophilic esophagitis).
  • Performance of diagnostic and therapeutic GI endoscopy.
  • Performance of functional tests (24-hour pH monitoring, 24-hour impedance–pH monitoring, Bravo capsule pH monitoring, conventional and high-resolution esophageal and anorectal manometry).

Activity

In teaching

  • Associate Clinical Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Navarra, since 2003.

  • She has delivered more than 80 presentations at national and international conferences in her specialty. 
  • She has published more than 30 articles in national and international journals in her specialty. 
  • She has given several lectures and has served as a moderator in various forums, courses, and congresses in her specialty.
