  • Su actividad científica se centra en el estudio del diagnóstico y tratamiento Psicosomático (bio-psico-social) del paciente con cefaleas, trastornos neurológicos funcionales (parestesias), trastornos de sueño, mareos, acúfenos, dolor, fatiga-cansancio, trastornos digestivos funcionales, vejiga hiperactiva

In teaching

  • The biopsychosocial model, in which the individual is understood as a whole integrating physical, psychological, and social aspects linked to a specific family and social context. 
  • She carries out her teaching activities within the Sociedad Española de Medicina Psicosomática and the Sociedad Española de Médicos de Atención Primaria (SEMERGEN).

In research

  • She has published twelve articles in national and international scientific journals.
  • She has authored nine chapters in scientific books.
  • She is a member of the Advisory Committee of the journal FMF, a training program in Family Medicine. Official program of the Sociedad Española de Médicos de Atención Primaria (SEMERGEN). Live Med Iberia, SL, since its inception in 2022.
  • She was a member of the multidisciplinary Advisory Committee of the White Paper on Migraine in Spain. 2021.
  • She was a member of the Advisory Committee of “Impact and situation of migraine in Spain: Atlas 2018”. Health Sciences Collection, No. 93. Universidad de Sevilla Press, 2018.
  • She was a member of the working groups for three Clinical Practice Guidelines for Primary Care developed by the Servicio Madrileño de Salud and the Ministry of Health.
  • She was a member of the expert group for the development of recommendations on Depression and Physical Diseases of the Sociedad Española de Psiquiatría, the Sociedad Española de Psiquiatría Biológica, and the Sociedad Española de Médicos de Atención Primaria.
  • She has participated with more than eighty lectures and presentations at national and international congresses on Psychosomatic Medicine and Family Medicine.
