of Navarra, with the distinction of European Doctor.
Board-certified specialist in Psychiatry at Clínica Universidad de Navarra (2006).
Predoctoral fellowship (Visiting Research Associate) at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London (University of London, 2005), and a postdoctoral fellowship (Postdoctoral Research Fellow) in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University, New York (2010).
Specialist physician in the Department of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology at Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
RESEARCH AREAS
His doctoral research focused on the clinical implications and prognostic value of five polymorphisms of the COMT gene in schizophrenia spectrum disorders. His dissertation work received the Amadeo Sánchez Blanqué Award for Clinical Research in Psychiatry (Spanish Society of Biological Psychiatry) in the 2007 call. He has focused his research activity on the diagnosis and treatment of depressive disorder, schizophrenia, and psychotic disorders, integrating clinical research with approaches such as pharmacogenetics, therapeutic drug monitoring, neuroimaging, cognition, and nutritional aspects.
Associate Editor of the scientific journal Nutritional Neuroscience.
