Professional career

Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Murcia in 2005.

Specialist in Gastroenterology in 2010 at Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca.

PhD in Medicine from the University of Murcia, co-supervised by the University of Alcalá de Henares, in 2011, in the field of the immunology of inflammatory bowel disease. 

Training stay in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and advanced endoscopic ultrasound at Hospital Universitario de Navarra from November 2022 to March 2023.

RESEARCH AREAS

  • Collaboration in research projects on biliary and pancreatic diseases.
  • Collaborates in projects related to the study of the intestinal flora and its relationship with digestive diseases.

AREAS OF INTEREST

  • Study and diagnosis of disorders of the biliopancreatic region.
  • Study of the microbiota and its role in the pathophysiology of digestive diseases.
  • Advancement in the use of endoscopic ultrasound for the diagnosis of digestive diseases.
  • Advancement in the use of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography as a therapeutic tool for the biliary tract.

  • Associate Professor at the University of Navarra since the 2022–2023 academic year.

  • He has published six original articles in national journals and six clinical cases.
  • He has participated in three original articles in international journals. 
  • He has written two book chapters and contributed to two others. 
  • He has participated in national conferences with two oral communications and four poster presentations.
