RESEARCH AREAS
- Has participated in clinical and epidemiologic research projects in hospital and public health settings.
- Research lines focus on prevention of chronic diseases—especially cardiovascular—through the promotion of healthy lifestyles; epidemiologic surveillance of communicable diseases; cancer screening; and colonization by multidrug-resistant bacteria in the hospital environment.
AREAS OF INTEREST
- Hospital epidemiology, with special focus on prevention of healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial resistance.
- Prevention of chronic diseases, especially cardiovascular, through the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
- Statistical and methodological support in the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical and epidemiologic studies.
- Teaching and training in clinical research, epidemiology, and public health.
Activity
In teaching
- Visiting Lecturer, University of Granada (academic year 2023–2024). Awarded Venia Docendi recognition by the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health.
- Visiting Lecturer, University of Navarra (academic year 2025–2026), course: Clinical Management.
In research
- Has published 15 scientific articles, 8 of them in first-quartile (Q1) journals, and has contributed to more than 15 communications presented at national and international conferences.
- Contributor to reports for the Andalusian Epidemiologic Surveillance System and to research projects within the Andalusian Health Service.
