Professional career

Medical degree from the University of the Basque Country (1986) and PhD in Medicine from the University of Alcalá de Henares (1994). Specialist in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Nutrition at Ramón y Cajal Hospital, Madrid (1988-1991).

FIS Fellow, 1992-1994.

Attending physician in the Endocrinology Department at Santiago Apóstol Hospital (Vitoria) from June 1994 to May 2005.

Attending physician in the Endocrinology Department at “Lozano Blesa” University Clinical Hospital from May 2005 to September 2007.

Staff physician in the Department of Endocrinology and Nutrition at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra since September 2007.
