Professional career
Degree in Biology from the University of Navarra, 2000.
Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Navarra, 2012.
Master’s Degree in Clinical Trials from the University of Seville, 2017.
RESEARCH AREAS
- Has collaborated on various research projects related to food microbiology and neurogenetics. In recent years, her work has focused on ophthalmology, mainly on retinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and high myopia.
AREAS OF INTEREST
- Assisted the principal investigator in patient enrollment for various clinical trials and during follow-up visits throughout the study; collected and entered data into case report forms; prepared monitoring visits and supported monitors during their stay at the center; ensured compliance with the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and current regulations; resolved queries; reported serious adverse events to the sponsor within established timelines; attended investigators’ meetings; provided patient support and administered quality-of-life questionnaires.
Activity
In research
- Has participated in the coordination of 41 clinical trials and 4 research projects (FIS PI15/01374, PI18/00314, PI20/00251, and PI23/00069), mainly in the field of retina.
- Has collaborated in the publication of 24 articles in international journals in the areas of neurogenetics (member of the International FTD-Genomics Consortium) and ophthalmology. Has also contributed to 7 neurogenetics and microbiology studies presented at national and international conferences.

- Recipient of two Gangoiti Foundation grants in 2015 and 2016.
