Professional career

Degree (1980) and PhD (1993) in Medicine, University of Navarra. Specialist in Radiology at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. Completed advanced training in Musculoskeletal Magnetic Resonance Imaging at The Ohio State University Hospital (USA).

Specialist in the Department of Radiology at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.

Head of the Musculoskeletal and Conventional Radiology Area.

RESEARCH AREAS

  • Member of the editorial board of the *Revista de Medicina* of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Navarra. Editor of the Education section of the journal *Radiología*.
  • Has collaborated as a co-investigator in several clinical trials related to orthopedic surgery and oncology.

AREAS OF INTEREST

  • Research on the diagnosis and treatment of sarcomas and musculoskeletal system tumors.
  • Assessment and follow-up of various surgical techniques.
  • Diagnosis and follow-up of melanoma.

  • Contracted Professor (PhD) in the Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Navarra.
  • Responsible for several integrated courses.
  • Coordinator of summer placement courses at national centers and in Navarra.
  • Clinical tutor since 1998.
  • Has served as residency (MIR) tutor in Radiology.
  • Head of continuing education in Radiology at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
  • Former chair of the Training Section (FORA) of the Spanish Society of Medical Radiology (SERAM).

In research

  • Has delivered more than 150 presentations at national and international conferences.
  • Has given over 90 lectures at courses and conferences.
  • Has contributed to more than 15 books.
  • Has coauthored over 60 articles in national and international journals.
  • Has served on the examination committee for 20 doctoral theses.
  • Accredited with two “sexenios” (six-year research merit periods).
