Professional career
Medical degree (1998) and PhD with Highest Honors, Cum Laude (2004) in Pediatrics from the University of Navarra.
Specialist in Pediatrics and its Specific Areas (2003) at Clínica Universidad de Navarra, and Specialist in Psychiatry (2011) through the Multiprofessional Mental Health Teaching Unit of Navarra. She completed her training with a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
Since 2019, she has been Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit within the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology at Clínica Universidad de Navarra, at its Pamplona and Madrid campuses.
RESEARCH AREAS
She has participated in 10 clinical trials on ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, depression, and suicide in children and adolescents. She maintains several active research projects in pediatric bipolar disorder and ADHD.
AREAS OF INTEREST
- Assessment and treatment of ADHD, eating disorders, depressive disorders and bipolar disorder in children and adolescents, and autism spectrum disorders.
Activity
In teaching
Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Navarra (Child and Adolescent Psychiatry). She also teaches at the Faculty of Psychology (Child and Adolescent Psychopathology) at the University of Navarra. She has supervised one PhD thesis and numerous final degree projects.
Member of the Medical Education Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Navarra.
Residency tutor since 2012.
In research
She has delivered more than 150 presentations at national and international conferences.
She has contributed as an author to more than 15 publications in national and international journals.
She is the author of the book “Princesas de Cristal”, about anorexia nervosa, more than thirty book chapters, and multiple online courses.
