Primary focus on the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases (such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, high myopia, epiretinal membrane or macular hole), as well as cataract surgery.

Degree in Medicine and Surgery, Complutense University of Madrid (2004). Specialist in Ophthalmology via MIR at Hospital Universitario La Paz, Madrid (2009).
PhD in Medicine, University of Navarra (2021), thesis: “Influence of clinical factors on the long-term anatomical and functional outcomes of patients with exudative age-related macular degeneration treated according to routine clinical practice” (awarded summa cum laude).
Consultant Ophthalmologist at Hospital Universitario de Guadalajara (2009-2010), Hospital Universitario del Henares (2010-2011) and Hospital Universitario de Torrejón (2011-2017).
Clinical Collaborator, Department of Ophthalmology, Clínica Universidad de Navarra (2017-2022). Clinical Consultant, Department of Ophthalmology, Clínica Universidad de Navarra (since 2022).

- Age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular oedema, prevention of progression of childhood myopia, ocular adverse effects of new chemotherapies and immunotherapies.

- Vitreoretinal diseases such as retinal tears and detachment, high myopia and diabetic retinopathy; retinal vascular diseases; macular diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular oedema, myopic maculopathy, macular hole and epiretinal membrane; intraocular tumours; prevention of progression of childhood myopia; gene therapy.

- Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Navarra since 2021.

- Investigator and sub-investigator in more than 60 clinical trials in Ophthalmology, Oncology and Haematology since 2017.
- Member of the Thematic Network for Cooperative Health Research (RETICS) in ocular pathology, Oftared (2017-2020).
- Member of the Cooperative Research Networks Oriented to Health Outcomes (RICORS), within the Inflammatory Diseases Network (REI) since 2021, serving as coordinator for retinal diseases: diabetic macular oedema, age-related macular degeneration and geographic atrophy.
- Member of the Research Group on “Chronic inflammatory pathology in Ophthalmology” at IdiSNA (Navarra Health Research Institute) since 2022.
- Member of the National Thematic Health Research Complement Network (RED2022-134750-T) of the Margarita Salas Biological Research Center (CIB): 01/06/2023-31/05/2025.
