Professional career
Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Oviedo (1982). Medical Specialist in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation (Madrid, 1996). Diploma in Anaesthetics (London, 1992). Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (London, 1995). Certificate of Specialist Training in Anesthesia, European Union (London, 1996).
Since 1996, Specialist in the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
RESEARCH AREAS
Currently participating in the European Surgical Outcomes Study (EUSOS).
AREAS OF INTEREST
Intensive Care Area: development of clinical protocols for intensive care and operating rooms, establishment of morbidity and mortality sessions for both the ICU and operating rooms, and creation of standards in clinical care and teaching areas.
Activity
In teaching
- He has been responsible for training nurses in Anesthesia and Intensive Care.
- He also participates in the training of residents, preparation of postgraduate examinations, student seminars, and various Advanced Resuscitation programs.

- He has published 6 articles in specialized journals.
- He has participated in 13 communications at national and international conferences.
