Professional career

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2000 from the Autonomous University of Madrid, completing her specialist training at the Puerta de Hierro University Hospital in Madrid (2001–2005).

Anesthesiologist in the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra since July 26, 2005, to the present. Her professional activity includes work in the surgical area, ICU, out-of-operating room procedures, and pre-anesthesia consultation.

PhD from the University of Navarra within the “Applied Medical Research (DIMA)” program with the thesis titled “Preoperative prediction of renal injury after elective cardiac surgery: a prospective multicenter observational study.” The thesis was defended on September 29, 2017, and the degree was awarded on November 3, 2017.

Member of the Quality Committee at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra since August 2013.

Clinical Consultant in the Department of Anesthesiology, working alongside the Quality Department of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra to improve the quality of patient care. Chair of the Operating Room Safety Group, dedicated to enhancing patient safety in the surgical area.

RESEARCH AREAS

  • She has contributed to the publication of 19 articles in scientific journals and has written 3 book chapters. She has made 33 contributions at conferences in her specialty, supervised 5 undergraduate theses, and participated in 5 multicenter working groups and 2 clinical trials.
