Dr. Montserrat Erostarbe
Psychologist in the Neuropediatrics Unit.
Primary dedication to neuropsychological and developmental assessment and to psychoeducational guidance for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders and/or learning difficulties.
Professional career
Degree in Psychology from the University of Seville with specific training in the healthcare field (2012).
PhD from the School of Education and Psychology of the University of Navarra (2020).
Official Master’s Degree in Psychological and Educational Intervention from the University of Navarra (2015).
Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology from the Catholic University of Murcia (2024).
RESEARCH AREAS
- Member of the “Neurodevelopment and Learning” research group at the University of Navarra.
- Invited speaker at a Special Education Congress (2022). She has presented several oral communications and posters at national and international conferences related to her specialty.
- She has participated as a reviewer for a scientific journal.
- She has collaborated in clinical trials conducted at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
AREAS OF INTEREST
- Study of the diagnosis and treatment of developmental and learning disorders: intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorders (accredited for the clinical use of ADOS-2 and ADI-R), cerebral palsy, epilepsy, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, specific language disorders, procedural learning disorder, and dyslexia.
Activity
In teaching
- Professor of the course “Intellectual Disability and Neurodevelopmental Disorders” in the Master’s Degree in Educational and Psychological Intervention at the School of Education and Psychology of the University of Navarra; where she also supervises Master’s Thesis projects on neurodevelopment and serves as a clinical internship tutor.
- Clinical placement tutor for students in the Master’s Degree in Neuropsychology and Behavioral Neurology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
In research
- She has published an article in the journal Journal of Intellectual Disability Research.
- She is the author of several children’s books: “I Know You Can”, “Playing Without a Mobile Phone”, “I’m Not Bored Anymore”, and “A Million Thanks”, published by Bruño.
