Professional career
Degree in Biological Sciences (1997) and PhD in Biological Sciences (2002) from the University of Navarra.
In 2006, she joined the Translational Molecular Imaging Unit within the Nuclear Medicine Department.
RESEARCH AREAS
- Principal Investigator in 1 research project; she has also participated in 15 research projects and 8 research contracts.
- She holds three six-year research terms recognized by the Comisión Nacional Evaluadora de la Actividad Investigadora (CNEAI) (2003-2009/2010-2015/2016-2021).
AREAS OF INTEREST
- Application of translational PET and SPECT molecular imaging for in vivo monitoring of metabolic processes in animal models of disease (neuroimaging, oncology, gene therapy, metabolic diseases).
- In vivo biodistribution studies of therapeutic agents (drugs, nanosystems, functional biomolecules, cells, etc.).
- Coordination of clinical trials within the Nuclear Medicine Department
Activity
In teaching
- Accredited as an Associate Professor (Profesor Contratado Doctor) by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA, 2013), she has been a professor in the Department of Pathology, Anatomy and Physiology at the University of Navarra since 2004, where she has participated in teaching several courses.
- Professor responsible for the Cell Biology course in the Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics degree programs since 2015.
- She participates annually in teaching the PET Course organized by the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, aimed at specialists in the field of nuclear imaging.
In research
- Author of more than 60 research articles in indexed journals, with an h-index of 19 and more than 1,100 cumulative citations.
- She has presented more than 120 communications at national and international conferences.
