Professional career

Graduated in Medicine from the University of Boyacá, Tunja, Colombia, in 2012.

Specialized in Nephrology at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz, Madrid, Spain, in 2021.

Since 2021, specialist physician in the Department of Nephrology at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. Promoter and head of the Onconephrology and Hereditary Nephropathies Clinic.

Nephrology Residency Program tutor at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra (2021–present).

AREAS OF INTEREST

Her main clinical areas of interest and focus are:

  • Cardiovascular risk management and development of kidney diseases in patients with onco-hematologic conditions.
  • Study of hematologic disorders such as monoclonal gammopathies with renal significance.
  • Evaluation and counseling of patients with hereditary kidney diseases.

  • Associate lecturer at the University of Boyacá, professor of Clinical Genetics in 2015, Tunja, Colombia.
  • Clinical Associate Professor in the Nephrology Teaching Unit, School of Medicine, University of Navarra, Pamplona, Navarra.

In research

  • Multiple presentations at national and international conferences.
  • Principal Investigator in two ongoing research projects—one in hemato-nephrology and another in hereditary kidney diseases—and active member of national groups: the Onconephro Group and the Hereditary Kidney Diseases Group (GTERH), both part of the Spanish Society of Nephrology (through 2023).
