Professional career
Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra in 2016.
Specialist in Anesthesiology and Critical Care at Clínica Universidad de Navarra since 2021.
PhD in Applied Medicine and Biotechnology, awarded cum laude by the University of Navarra in January 2025, with the doctoral thesis entitled “Validation of EEG processed by the BIS VISTA™ Bilateral anesthesia depth monitor in the Trendelenburg position”.
European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (EDAIC, Parts I & II).
Certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
Accredited Advanced Life Support (ALS) Instructor by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).
European Paediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS) Provider.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider, accredited by the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
He has completed clinical training rotations at tertiary care hospitals in Spain.
Between July 2025 and August 2026, he completed a Clinical Fellowship in Abdominal Organ Transplantation Anesthesia (AOTA) at Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network, Toronto, Canada.
RESEARCH AREAS
- His research activity focuses primarily on perioperative medicine, anesthesia for major abdominal and hepatobiliary surgery, solid organ transplantation, neuromonitoring, and optimization of blood transfusion resources.
- He has participated as principal investigator and co-principal investigator in several national studies and as a collaborating investigator in more than six national and international research projects.

Activity
In teaching
- Associate Professor at the University of Navarra, with teaching responsibilities in the Medical Degree program, participating in workshops and in the practical training of national and international students during their clinical rotations.
- He is an accredited Advanced Life Support Instructor by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and participates in advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation training for undergraduate students and healthcare professionals.
In research
- He is the author of 6 articles published in national and international journals and has contributed to 10 publications arising from research networks and multicenter research projects.
- He has also participated in more than 45 scientific poster presentations at national and international conferences and has contributed to 2 book chapters.
