Professional career

Medical Degree and PhD in Medicine and Surgery, Universidad de Navarra, 1989. Diagnostic Radiology Specialist at Hospital Donosti (San Sebastián), 1996.

PhD in Medicine, Universidad de Navarra, since 2016.

Clinical collaborator in Radiology at Clínica Universidad de Navarra since 1999.

RESEARCH AREAS

  • His main research areas are colorectal cancer, quantification of adipose tissue using radiologic techniques, digital radiology, and the development of PACS systems.

AREAS OF INTEREST

  • General abdominal pathology, especially hepatic, biliopancreatic, colorectal, and prostate disease.
  • General abdominal and intraoperative ultrasound, especially hepatic, biliopancreatic, and prostate.
  • Techniques related to colorectal evaluation: CT colonography (virtual colonoscopy), tumor detection and staging, assessment of recurrence, and treatment monitoring in colorectal cancer (CT and MRI).
  • Digital Radiology and PACS systems.
