Professional career

Graduated in Medicine from the University of Navarra (2016) and specialized in Internal Medicine after completing her residency at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra (2017–2022).

Since 2022 she has practiced as a specialist physician in the Infectious Diseases Department of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.

She holds a PhD in Medicine from the University of Navarra since 2025, awarded cum laude.

Between 2025 and 2026 she completed a fellowship in Transplant Infectious Diseases at Toronto General Hospital, University of Toronto, where she served as Chief Fellow. She currently maintains a research collaboration with this institution.

RESEARCH AREAS

  • Infections in immunocompromised and transplant patients.
  • Liver cancer, the research line of her doctoral thesis, which has led to the development of two patents.

AREAS OF INTEREST

  • Infections in patients with a weakened immune system.
  • Infections associated with solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
  • Infections related to new oncohematological treatments.
  • Opportunistic infections.

Activity

In teaching

  • Teaches Medicine students at the University of Navarra.
  • Supervises and organizes clinical rotations for students and residents in the Infectious Diseases Department.

In research

  • Has participated in several national competitive research projects.
  • Author of scientific publications and book chapters in specialized journals and publishers.
  • Has presented numerous communications at national and international conferences in her specialty.
