Professional career

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from San Carlos University of Guatemala (2010). Specialist in Radiology from Clínica Universidad de Navarra (2017).

Erasmus program in Radiology at Universitätsklinikum Grosshadern, Munich (December 2009–January 2010).

Rotation in the Pediatric Radiology Department at Charité Hospital, Berlin, Germany (June–July 2016).

PhD in Applied Medicine and Biomedicine from the University of Navarra (June 2024).

RESEARCH AREAS

  • Effect of contrast dose on the quantification of myocardial extracellular volume in adenosine stress/rest perfusion cardiac magnetic resonance examinations.
  • Impact of peritumoral adipose tissue volume on the detection of additional tumors using digital breast tomosynthesis and ultrasound.

  • Non-invasive cardiac imaging.

In teaching

  • Teaching collaborator at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Navarra, since 2014.

  • Has participated in more than 30 educational posters at national and international radiology conferences, as well as over 10 oral presentations and communications at national and international congresses.
  • Has published 18 scientific articles in indexed journals and contributed to 2 book chapters.
