Professional career
Bachelor’s Degree in Biology (Extraordinary Award, 2001) and Biochemistry (2002) from the University of Navarra.
Specialist in Clinical Biochemistry (2006) at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Navarra (Extraordinary Doctorate Award, 2007).
RESEARCH AREAS
Has collaborated in more than 10 research projects. Some of her research lines have focused on the following areas:
- Use of liquid biopsy in oncology.
- Search for tumor markers associated with circulating exosomes.
- Analysis of maternal-fetal tolerance factors in peripheral blood during pregnancy.
- Study of the suppressor molecule HLA-G.
AREAS OF INTEREST
- Search for new tumor markers through liquid biopsy.
Activity
In teaching
- Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Genetics at the University of Navarra.
- Teaches “Clinical Biochemistry and Molecular Pathology” in the Biology Degree and “Clinical Biochemistry” in the Biochemistry Degree.
- Also participates as a lecturer in the Master’s in Biomedical Engineering.
- Tutor for Clinical Biochemistry residents and secretary of the Continuing Education Committee at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
In research
Has published more than 40 articles in international journals. Co-author of 3 books and has presented numerous communications at conferences.
Holds three six-year research periods (sexenios) recognized for research excellence.

- Member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the José Luis Castaño Foundation of the Spanish Society of Laboratory Medicine.
