Medical degree from the School of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Madrid in 1982.
Specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology via MIR at Ramón y Cajal Hospital, Madrid, in 1998.
Attending physician in the Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Department at Ramón y Cajal Hospital, Madrid, as a member of the Spine Surgery Service from January 1989 to October 1995.
In late 1995, he joined as Head of the Spine Surgery Section in the Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Department at Clínica La Zarzuela, Madrid, directed by Professor Dr. José Palacios Carvajal, remaining as Head of the Spine Surgery Section at that hospital until November 1998.
Head of the Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Department at IBERMUTUAMUR Hospital, Murcia, from November 1998 to April 2002.
In May 2002, he was appointed Head of the Spine Unit at Hospital Central La Fraternidad-Muprespa, Madrid.
From July 2022 to April 2023, spine surgery specialist at HM Madrid University Hospital.
Since May 2023, he has worked exclusively at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra (Madrid) as coordinator of the Spine Unit.
