Professional career
Degree in Medicine from the University of Oviedo in 2013.
Specialist in General and Digestive Surgery from the University of Navarra in May 2019.
Clinical Fellowship in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery in Bruges (Belgium), from September to December 2021.
Clinical Fellowship at Hospital de Bellvitge between January 2023 and January 2024, where she also worked as an attending physician in the Department.
SECO competency diploma in Obesity Surgery
Master’s Degree in Advanced General Surgery.
Since March 2024, collaborating physician in the Department of General and Digestive Surgery at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, with a special focus in the Obesity Area.
RESEARCH AREAS
- She has been actively involved in several randomized clinical trials with patients undergoing bariatric surgery.

- Study of the diagnosis and treatment of obesity.

Activity
In teaching
- Teaching collaborator between June 2014 and October 2021, giving seminars and practical classes to students at the University of Navarra.
In research
- She has participated in more than 10 articles focused on hormonal changes after bariatric procedures, as well as 3 articles on quality of life and outcomes after surgery.
- She has participated as a speaker at more than 30 national and international conferences.
- She has contributed to 4 book chapters and 2 certified master’s programs.
