Professional career

Graduated in Medicine from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (2015).

Specialized in Pulmonology via medical residency (MIR) at the Hospital Universitario Príncipe de Asturias, Madrid (2016-2020).

Master's Degree in Advances in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Sleep Disorders from the Universidad Católica de Murcia (2019-2021).

Master's Degree in Interstitial Lung Diseases from the same university (2021-2022) and Master's Degree in COPD from the Universidad San Pablo CEU (2022-2024).

She is currently completing the International University Expert Programme in Severe Asthma (Universidad San Pablo CEU, 2025-2026) and a PhD in Clinical Medicine and Public Health from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (since October 2024), with a thesis on the impact of asthma on the Spanish healthcare system.

Activity

In teaching

  • Clinical teaching collaborator for Medicine students on Pulmonology rotations at the Hospital Universitario Príncipe de Asturias and the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón, supervising undergraduate students from the Universidad de Alcalá and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Clinical teaching of Medicine students from the Universidad Europea and the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria during their clinical training in Pulmonology outpatient clinics, in the private healthcare setting.
  • Instructor on the lung ultrasound course run by ThinkoHealth by Luzán since 2021, across successive editions.
  • Speaker at training courses for Pulmonology residents and primary care physicians (NeumoMadrid and the Henares healthcare area), on thoracic ultrasound, asthma and COPD management, non-invasive mechanical ventilation and long COVID.

In research

  • Author of chapters in two SEPAR handbooks on diffuse interstitial lung disease and co-author of articles in indexed scientific journals, including Medicine and Revista de Patología Respiratoria.
  • Has presented more than 25 poster communications at national and international pulmonology congresses (SEPAR, NeumoMadrid, among others).
  • Speaker at national pulmonology congresses (SEPAR, NeumoMadrid, NeumoHenares) on severe asthma, chronic cough and bronchoscopy in severe asthma, between 2019 and 2025.
  • Member of the expert committee developing a national consensus on treatment eligibility in severe asthma, promoted by SEPAR.
  • Peer reviewer for a SEPAR journal specializing in asthma.
