Professional career
Medical Degree (MD), Universidad del País Vasco (UPV), 2014.
Completed specialty training in Medical Oncology at Hospital Universitario Donostia (Guipúzcoa Oncology Clinical Management Unit) in June 2020, including a stay in the Phase I Clinical Trials Unit at The Christie Hospital NHS, Manchester (ESMO Fellowship Grant for Clinical Unit visit).
PhD, Universidad del País Vasco, since February 2023, after completing her doctoral thesis on biliary tract tumors.
Currently pursuing predoctoral training in biliary tract tumors at Universidad del País Vasco.
RESEARCH AREAS
- Investigator in 4 national and international projects.
- Member of the European Network for the Study of Cholangiocarcinoma (ENSCCA).
- Member of the hepatobiliary tumor research group at the Centro de Investigación Médica Aplicada (CIMA), co-led by Dr. Mariano Ponz and Dr. Silvestre Vicent, where research on pancreatic and biliary tract cancer has grown in recent years thanks to grants and private donations from patients and their families. The group’s aim is to unite efforts between CIMA and CUN through the CCUN to identify new drugs or new combinations that help patients with these diseases by improving survival and quality of life.

In research
- She has presented more than 20 communications at national and international conferences.
- She has contributed to 4 publications in international journals related to her specialty.
- She is currently an investigator in several investigator-initiated and externally funded clinical trials in both pancreatic cancer and biliary tract cancer, and also collaborates on more translational laboratory-based projects.
