One-step Diagnosis. A Key Tool for the Elimination of Hepatitis C

Abstract
Hepatitis C is a major cause of liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma, as well as the primary indication for liver transplant in Europe.
The highly effective direct-acting antivirals currently available make it possible to achieve the hepatitis C elimination targets set by the World Health Organization. For this, population screening and one-step diagnosis are fundamental strategies.
