To the Editor: Capillary malformations (CMs) include a wide range of vascular stains with different clinical features, associated findings, and prognosis.1 A clinical classification of CMs,2 correlated with the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies classification, was proposed in 2016 that categorized all CMs into 7 patterns.

Here we present a series of patients with a characteristic phenotype of a vascular anomaly that clinically and histologically resembles a CM but that cannot be classified within any of the patterns described.
