Hematologic Cancer Area

"Our increased knowledge and advances in treatment with immunotherapy and advanced therapies have transformed the medical care of patients who suffer from haematological cancer in recent years".

DR. CARLOS GARCÍA GRANDE
COORDINATOR. HEMATOLOGIC CANCER AREA

The Hematological Cancer Department of the Cancer Center Clínica Universidad de Navarra is made up of specialists of national and international prestige.

The multidisciplinary nature of the team allows the integration of classical anatomopathological, cytological and imaging diagnostic techniques with the latest generation of immunological and molecular studies, which enables a more precise and rapid diagnosis and the use of new personalized treatments for malignant diseases of the blood and lymphatic system.

The joint work of medical and research staff facilitates the development and application of new treatments and the accurate evaluation of their results.

We are experts in the development of advanced cellular therapies, including hematopoietic progenitor transplantation, adoptive cellular immunotherapies such as CAR-T cells, dendritic cell therapies, or the use of activated lymphocytes for the treatment of infections. These treatments are developed in conjunction with the Cell Therapy Area.

In the field of lymphomas, myeloid neoplasms and, especially, in myelomas and monoclonal gammopathies, we are an international reference center, with leadership in some of the clinical trials that have allowed the development of new drugs directed to specific targets, immunoconjugated antibodies, bispecific and CART therapy.
