ECMID Postgraduate Education Course: Update on Infections Associated with Orthopaedic Implants: Diagnosis and Management

This education course aims at those confronted with orthopaedic implant-associated infections in daily routine as orthopaedic surgeons, infectious diseases physicians, internal medicine physicians, hospitalists, infection control practitioners or clinical microbiologists.

All participants attending this course will learn about the recent and relevant advances in the diagnosis, antimicrobial and surgical therapeutical aspects of orthopaedic implant-associated infections. The programme consists of a 3-day course with interactive lectures illustrated with clinical cases and meet-the-expert sessions.

Course Description & Objectives
This education course aims at those confronted with orthopaedic implant-associated infections in daily routine as orthopaedic surgeons, infectious diseases physicians, internal medicine physicians, hospitalists, infection control practitioners or clinical microbiologists.

Target Audience Description
Up to 120 specialists or physicians interested in updating their knowledge on the diagnosis and management of orthopaedic implant-associated infections including: orthopaedic surgeons, infectious diseases physicians, internal medicine physicians, hospitalists, infection control practitioners or clinical microbiologists. Medical doctors and surgeons in training are also welcome.
