The Clínica Universidad de Navarra is a healthcare centre within the University of Navarra.
This association is one of its most relevant characteristics of the Clínica, since it fully complements the excellent clinical practices and patient attention with elements of research and teaching, both founded on a Christian values.
- The University of Navarra is part of the activity of the Opus Dei, an institution within the Catholic Church founded by Saint Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer. Its mission consists in spreading the message that the workplace and our ordinary daily activities are places where one can encounter God, in the service of our fellows and society.
As a consequence, the work at the Clínica is not limited to education or to attending the ill, to teaching or research. Its professionals, both Catholics and non-Catholics, are committed to carry out their activities in the Clínica in accordance with the Christian ethics and values.

- In the healthcare field, the Christian identity that the Clínica shares with the University is reflected, among other aspects, in the consideration that its professionals have for the patients and their dignity. Each patient is unique and the activity of those that work in this institution revolves around them.
This aspect itself promotes commonly accepted values, which are held and shared by believers and non-believers alike: mutual respect, freedom of choice, spirit of coexistence without discrimination of any type, delicacy in the treatment and in dealings with others, and justice.
The employees at the Clínica are committed to carrying out their work in the most professional and humane manner possible. This philosophy encourages each individual to work in a team in order to achieve the highest levels of excellence, to serve others in their work, and to assume responsibility for their professional decisions and acts.

- A large number of professionals at the Clínica are University lecturers or are involved in teaching activities and in the assessment and training of junior interns MIR, FIR and BIR, which obliges them to keep constantly up to date with the advances in their fields. Furthermore, this academic interest in the practical aspects of investigation aids the more successful treatment of the patients, which further encourages the professionals at the Clínica to participate in research projects, maintaining contact with specialists throughout the world and participating in courses and congresses. For this reason, they remain in touch with all the latest advances in the treatment of each disease.
The Clínica maintains a close relationship with the CIMA, Centre of Applied Medical Research, the Faculty of Medicine and the University of Nursing with which it shares teaching and research activities, as well as collaborating with the Science and Pharmacy faculties.

- Um número elevado de profissionais são professores da Universidade ou exercem actividades docentes e de apoio aos médicos internos, o que naturalmente é um estimulo á sua constante actualização. Além disso o interesse universitário pela investigação clínica leva a ajudar os doentes com eficácia, fazendo também com que os profissionais participem em projectos de investigação, mantenham contacto com especialistas de todo o mundo e participem em cursos e congressos pelo que estão actualizados com os últimos processos de tratamento das enfermidades.
A Clínica mantém uma estreita relação com o Centro de investigação Médica Aplicada (CIMA), com a Faculdade de Medicina e a Escola Universitária de Enfermagem com quem compagina as suas funções docentes e de investigação. Além disso colabora com as faculdades de Farmácia e de Ciências.
